I hope to change my signature strip as my current one is a bit over-crowded, but I've forgotten how to do it! It may come back to me, but meanwhile can anyone jog my memory?

After deciding to depart, which was my initial reaction when our Papa decided to retire, I changed my mind. I think there's going to be just as much to write about as in the past, perhaps even more so!

For those with EWTN there's live "Rome Dispatch" with Joan Lewis and a guest every day at 3 pm GMT, 4 pm Rome time, repeated at 9 pm GMT. I'll leave PapaBear to work out Hawaii time from that!

Hey, it's good I'm up at 4am @ day anyway ... 5am is when Joan is on. I look forward to it each day. Right now it's the Cardinals' show but she always manages to find people to give us their perspective. I think today she showed us the window at Gamarelli's with the three new "Papa cassock sets". I had to laugh when someone asked one of the employees whether Gamarelli's is always the tailor to the Pope ... remember back to 2005 when much was made when Papa went to his own tailor of many years for some clothing?

BTW. it's now 1am HI Time .. only 4 more hours to Rome Dispatch!

Definitely drop in on Papa and tell him we all still love him and appreciate what he has done. Have an absolutely great trip.

I had a great time in Rome last september. We rent an apartment for 12 days and visited all that can be visited!

And we visited the Vatican gardens and went by Benoit XVI'house. I'' try to post some photos soon

Looks like the forum has gone into hibernation. I know I'm not a frequent poster and should not complain but I do miss the comments. I think everyone is looking forward to tomorrow's canonization in hopes of catching a glimpse of Papa Benedetto. I'll be thinking of all of you.

what a historical event that was today! I was moved even from the distance and I really enjoyed it to see our beloved Papa. I think he was looking very well and relaxed.
Only his barber hasn't done a great job.
Regarding the forum, I feel just like you.

Yes, Simone, it was heartwarming to see Papa B. I hope we will have more opportunities in the future to see him at such events. Hopefully Francis will pull him out of his seclusion. I think it has become apparent that there is no need for him to be shut away. Don't know if you saw the pictures at the Ratzinger Forum, just wonderful!

I'm still on the planet, but mostly use Facebook to communicate. I've forgotten how to change my signature strip! Anyway, I wondered if anyone has heard from PapaBear - Linda? Her account on facebook has been de-activated. She was posting and commenting until recently. You all know she was seriously ill don't you? She never complained once. She was also one of the best Christians and most sincere Catholics I have come across on the internet. Does anyone know anything? This has become urgent.

I went to Rome in June 2014 for a whole week and met some of our favourite priests. feel as if it's my second home now. BUT how I miss our beloved Papa Benedict !!!!! My heart is broken.
